Jenny Beste
Raised on a farm in Germany, I have always felt deeply connected to nature and the rhythm of the seasons. From an early age, I learned to listen to my body, move with intention, and nurture my mind – a philosophy that continues to guide my life on and off the mats.
As a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu purple belt, and lifelong athlete – from handball to swimming and since recently, freediving – I’ve developed a deep awareness of both body and mind. BJJ, in particular, has taught me how resilience, focus, and mental clarity are cultivated through consistency, presence, and self-awareness. Every roll, every challenge, is a mirror for our inner state – and an opportunity to grow beyond it.
With a background in physics and sports science, including psychology and stress management, I combine a scientific understanding of human performance with a holistic approach to wellbeing. I believe that true progress in Jiu-Jitsu – and in life – comes from balance: between effort and recovery, tension and release, body and mind.
I’m an event organiser who has worked in the tourism industry, gaining extensive experience in designing and delivering high-quality, meaningful experiences. Today, I bring two worlds together by combining my passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with thoughtfully curated travel experiences.
Through New Horizons, I create BJJ retreats designed for practitioners who want to go deeper – not only technically, but mentally and physically. These retreats offer a space to train with intention, recharge in nature, and reconnect with your purpose on the mats and beyond.
Each experience is crafted with care and love: from high-quality BJJ instruction and mindful movement sessions to restorative downtime. My goal is for every participant to leave not just refreshed, but re-centered, inspired, and equipped with tools to maintain balance, focus, and resilience in daily life – both on and off the mats.
My mission is to guide you on a journey where training meets transformation, helping you reclaim your energy, enhance your mental wellbeing, and rediscover the joy of movement within the serene settings of some of the world’s most beautiful landscapes.
